Consultation for parents

"Fire is our friend, fire is our enemy"

In the modern world, no one is immune from social upheavals or natural disasters. Have you ever thought that children's pranks with matches and lighters can lead to a fire? Fire always occurs unexpectedly. It would seem that everything was fine just now, and suddenly a flame appears and suffocating smoke appears. But preventing fires is in our hands. Resolving this problem requires coordinated actions of teachers and parents. Children's attraction to fire and playing with matches is well known, although many children know about the dangers of such games and know how to distinguish between “good” and “evil” fire.

When discussing with your child the possible causes of fires, it is important to introduce him to fire safety measures, develop basic knowledge about the dangerous consequences of fires, and teach him how to handle fire carefully.

What to tell your child

“A long time ago, man learned to make fire and use the power of fire to warm himself, cook food, and make machines work. But at the same time, man also learned the destructive power of fire: people died in the flames, homes, crops, livestock, forests, entire villages and even cities burned.

Think and tell us what could cause a fire (faulty electrical appliances, an unextinguished cigarette butt, playing with matches and a lighter, firecrackers, an unplugged iron).

Electrical appliances are assistants in human life, and there are a lot of them in every apartment.

If you know how these devices work, explain or listen to the story.

Electric current runs through wires and makes all electrical appliances work. Electric current is our assistant. If it's not there, we won't be able to watch TV, blow-dry our hair, or listen to music. But electric current can be dangerous and even cause a fire.

Rules for using electrical appliances

— If you smell burning rubber, see a smoking wire, or notice that the socket or plug of the electrical cord is heating up during operation, immediately inform an adult about this and ask them to call a master electrician.

— Don’t forget to unplug electrical appliances. The cause of a fire can be our forgetfulness, inattention, and haste.

You probably know that there are substances that can easily catch fire. These are flammable liquids: gasoline, kerosene, oil. These substances should be kept away from fire as they may ignite instantly. It is impossible to extinguish burning oil, gasoline or kerosene with water; these liquids are lighter than water, so they continue to burn after floating to the surface of the water. What do you think can be used to extinguish them? They are extinguished with sand or a special mixture. People have come up with special devices - fire extinguishers, which are found in every institution, in transport, etc.

Formation of the fundamentals of life safety in play activities in children of middle preschool age

A. M. Elemenkina MADOU "Kindergarten "Solnyshko" of the Krasnochetaisky district of the Chuvash Republic

Annotation. The article discusses the conditions for the formation of the fundamentals of life safety in play activities in children of middle preschool age. Scientific research on this issue is analyzed. The features of the formation of the foundations of life safety in play activities in children of middle preschool age have been identified.

Key words: life safety, safe behavior, basics of life safety in play activities, middle preschool age.

The basis of human health is safe behavior. The experience of safe behavior is not given to the child initially, but is

the result of his training, education and self-development. Therefore, it is necessary to pay special attention to the formation of the foundations of life safety in preschool age.

Middle preschool age is characterized by an increase in motor activity and an increase in the child’s physical capabilities, which, combined with increased curiosity and the desire for independence, often lead to the occurrence of traumatic situations. It is extremely important to create conditions in a preschool educational institution (DOU) and family that allow a 4-5 year old child to systematically gain experience in safe behavior.

It is necessary to highlight such rules of behavior that children must strictly follow, since their health and

safety. These rules should be explained in detail to children, and then

monitor their implementation. In addition, children may find themselves in unexpected situations on the street and at home, so the main task is to form the foundations of life safety in children of middle preschool age and stimulate their development of independence and responsibility for their actions. After all, everything that children are taught, they should be able to apply in their lives, in practice.

Issues of forming the foundations of life safety for children

middle preschool age are reflected in the scientific works of N. N. Avdeeva, L. P. Anastasova, K. Yu. Belaya, G. K. Zaitsev, V. N. Zimonina, O. L. Knyazeva, L. A. Kondrykinskaya, I Yu. Matasova, R. B. Sterkina, L. G. Tatarnikova, L. F. Tikhomirova, T. G. Khromtsova, etc.

In recent years, the problem of the basic safety of children's lives

preschool age is reflected in methodological literature and educational programs for preschool educational institutions ( "Childhood" , "Rainbow" , "Origins" , "Fundamentals of the safety of preschool children" ). They, along with the traditional tasks of protecting and promoting health, put forward the requirement for the child to develop knowledge and safety skills.

Pedagogical conditions act as a necessary component in the formation of the foundations of life safety in children of middle preschool age, and allow for an improvement in its quality. A subject-spatial developmental environment should serve the interests of children, enrich the development of safe behavior experience in children of middle preschool age, provide a zone of proximal development, encourage them to make informed choices, and shape the personal qualities of preschoolers and their life experiences.

In the educational process of a preschool institution, games and situational simulations are widely used as methods of consolidating knowledge about the rules of safe behavior and developing appropriate skills.

In the process of purposeful work to enrich knowledge about life safety rules, children gradually understand their meaning. Children begin to identify sources of danger, ways to handle potentially dangerous objects, and understand the need to take precautions - an excellent opportunity. The emotional experiences that children experience during play help them evaluate and comprehend the situation and form an optimal behavior algorithm.

The advantage of using games in enriching knowledge about life safety rules in children of middle preschool age, as a component of the experience of safe behavior, is manifested in the following:

  • every child is as active as possible;
  • there is an opportunity to differentiate and systematize children’s knowledge;
  • maintain a stable interest of preschoolers in this activity and a positive emotional background

The game develops free communication between a child and an adult and between children in the process of mastering ways of safe behavior, helping each other, and rules of behavior in standard or dangerous situations. Formation of primary value ideas about health and a healthy lifestyle, mastering generally accepted norms and rules of relationships with adults and peers in the context of safe behavior.

In play, the child develops as a personality. By imitating the actions of his elders, he becomes involved in the life around him. Various skills acquired by the child are transferred to the game. The advantage of gaming methods and teaching techniques is that they arouse increased interest and positive emotions in children. The use of game attributes makes preschoolers want to play and activates their mental processes.

Thus, security is the most important need, the satisfaction of which is a necessary condition for normal existence and development and is formed through certain organizational forms, stable structures of social interactions, and joint activities.
