Non-traditional drawing techniques for children in kindergarten and school

The role of using non-traditional drawing techniques in the artistic development of preschool children

As mentioned above, the use of non-traditional drawing in kindergarten is beneficial for children. Due to the fact that completely atypical objects can be used in drawing, preschool children are given the opportunity to think outside the box. It turns out that they are having fun and usefully spending their time. They experiment with different painting techniques and try different ways of expressing themselves. Classes develop observation skills, creativity, and artistic taste. The educational process turns into a fun game. Therefore, modern methods of creative activities are increasingly being used in kindergartens. Diagnostics of the use of non-traditional drawing methods in kindergartens shows good results.

Unconventional spray painting technique

Non-standard methods of drawing are always fun, emotional and creative. The result of such creativity is beautiful and unusual, even if the child has no artistic skills.

Tips for parents

Although the benefits of drawing for children are undeniable, there is no need to insist if there is no interest in it at first. You should not neglect other games that will ensure the development of the necessary skills. Make a bull craft for the New Year, read and memorize poems for 2021, solve puzzles in pictures. Monotonous activities quickly become boring, so you should add variety to developmental activities.

Also, parents should not forget about finger games. It is useful to practice modeling from plasticine. The main advice is that there is no need to wait for masterpieces; it is much more important to encourage the baby as much as possible.

Features of unusual technology

Non-traditional drawing techniques in kindergarten and at home help develop spatial thinking, eye, and coordination. After all, the baby needs to connect the ratio of the sizes of the parts into a single composition and arrange them harmoniously on the sheet. When working on a complex decorative composition, the child learns to plan his actions and choose the appropriate material. It is very important for him to understand that he can create something with his own hands.

Everyone knows that drawing is one of our children’s favorite activities. With great pleasure they draw with colored pencils, felt-tip pens, paints, dipping a brush into a bright substance. Why not dip your finger there or smear paint all over your palm? Fine art cannot have boundaries; it is necessary to destroy all boundaries of the familiar and traditional!

Unconventional drawing techniques attract our fidgets much more, because they do not require perseverance, allow them to more clearly reveal their potential during creativity, and introduce the child to the opportunity to unusually use the things around us as materials for creativity. If the most unusual colors and bright pencils no longer arouse the child’s former interest, then you can dilute your fidget’s creativity with other drawing methods. Why is drawing in unconventional ways useful in kindergarten and at home?

  • The baby uses a variety of materials, recognizes differences in textures, which allows him to improve fine motor skills.
  • There is an acquaintance with volume, shape and space, which develops imagination.
  • The ability to combine and mix shades develops aesthetic taste.
  • The use of unusual materials develops thinking and teaches one to make non-standard decisions.
  • Drawings using such techniques come out much faster, which pleases the little ones who lack perseverance.
  • It adds self-confidence and faith in your abilities, because even without outstanding skills you can create a unique “masterpiece”!

All the most interesting techniques and methods were collected and systematized by G.N. Davydov in the book “Non-traditional drawing techniques in kindergarten.” This book is an excellent assistant both for the teacher and for the mother who wants to diversify her leisure time with her baby.

Japanese and English watercolor painting techniques

  • The Japanese technique of watercolor painting, like the entire Eastern culture of drawing, differs from the European one that is familiar to us.

Firstly, in this technique they draw not on cotton paper, but on rice paper. It is thinner and more delicate.

Secondly, and this follows from the point above, watercolor paints differ from ours in their composition, since the watercolor we are used to is not suitable for rice paper.

As for color, in Japanese watercolor technique the primary colors are natural colors, green, blue, red, etc.

As a rule, such paints are not mixed with each other, which implies the absence of multi-layer techniques.

The execution of a drawing with watercolors using the Japanese technique is quite simple, but due to the unusual materials it looks very beautiful and interesting.

  • The English technique of painting with watercolors is the same technique of painting on wet. To work with this technique, you need to moisten a sheet of paper with water, securing it to the tablet so that there are no waves.

Since this is a wet-on-wet technique, there will be no clarity in the work. Only after the drawing has dried can you add details and retouch what is missing in the drawing.

This technique is more complex than others, so it is better to start learning it by mastering a few simple techniques that I wrote about above.

Topics for drawing in kindergarten

The topics of drawing in preschool classes can be very diverse. Typically, educators rely on seasonality. Therefore, for example, in autumn it would be relevant to paint a yellow-red landscape or use fallen leaves in the process itself.

For younger children, it is better to choose well-known objects: animals, flowers, trees. These topics are always relevant, and they can be done with almost any drawing technique.

Note! If you don’t have enough ideas for drawing, you can always use thematic literature with examples of work. Or you can get advice on unconventional drawing methods from more experienced teachers.

Traditional painting techniques

The foundation for the overall comprehensive development of a child is laid in early preschool age. Drawing is one of the most important means of child development, during which the child learns about the world and forms an aesthetic attitude towards it.

When drawing, a child develops a wide variety of skills and abilities, namely:

  • the child learns to visually evaluate the shape of an object, navigate in space, distinguish and feel colors
  • trains eyes and hands
  • develops the hand.

“Did you know that drawing is one of the main ways to develop a child’s comprehensive development, his senses, fine motor skills, sense of shape and color? With the help of this simple and exciting activity, children convey their attitude to reality.”

The success of upbringing and learning depends on what forms and methods a teacher or parent uses in creative activities with a child.

Thus, the main technique for children of primary preschool age is to demonstrate how to use a pencil and paints. At the same age, passive drawing is effective: when an adult guides the baby’s hand. When the baby grows a little, visual arts are taught using the information-receptive method: children study the shape of an object, tracing it with their hand, feeling its outlines. Such exploration of the subject helps the child create a more complete understanding of the subject. The next stage is the choice of drawing technique.

Traditional children's drawing techniques:

  1. Drawing with a simple pencil.
  2. Drawing with colored pencils.
  3. Drawing with felt-tip pens.
  4. Painting with a brush - watercolor, gouache.
  5. Drawing with wax crayons.

When starting to choose a drawing technique for your baby, you need to pay attention to his age and interest. To be useful and educational, drawing must first of all be fun.

Why should children learn to draw?

At an early age they work with their fingers, as it is difficult to hold a pencil. This allows you to improve your coordination and learn colors.

Older children are able to draw full-fledged images on paper. During this period, the emotional state constantly changes, new experiences appear, pictures become more interesting.

Drawing objects on paper, like educational coloring books, promotes the development of fine motor skills and teaches concentration. These skills will make life easier in the future.

Drawing with paints and pencils

Children enjoy drawing, especially if they are good at it. Even drawing using traditional techniques such as painting with paints and pencils requires certain skills. If the skills are missing, then the drawing may not turn out the way the little artist intended, as a result of which the child may become upset and no longer want to draw. Younger preschoolers are not yet skilled enough in drawing.

Let's see how you can teach your child to draw with paints and pencils.

Learn to paint with paints

Today, a child’s first use of paints is finger painting. As soon as your baby has learned to hold a brush in his hand, invite him to paint with it. For the first lessons, it is better to use gouache: it does not need to be diluted with water and it leaves a bright mark. Show your child this painting technique as “dipping”: a brush with paint should be applied to the paper with all its bristles. This will create an imprint - a leaf, a light, a trace of an animal, a flower, etc. Children can use this simple technique when depicting natural phenomena that are familiar to them. It will be interesting to draw on dark-colored paper (for example, blue) with white gouache. This is how you can depict, say, snowfall. The next stage of painting with paints is the image of straight and wavy lines.

Typically, a child masters working with paints and brushes by the age of 3.5–4 years. From this age, the baby can be given paints at his disposal: let him paint what he wants. And parents just need to suggest topics for drawing and show the correct techniques.

Let's start drawing with a pencil

At first, it is better to give the baby not a pencil in his hand, but a felt-tip pen: they leave a bright mark even when the child’s hand presses lightly. When your hand gets stronger, put a pencil in his hand. Draw different shapes together by moving your child's hand. This way he will gradually understand how to move the pencil to get the desired drawing. Repeat the movements many times, strengthening them.

"Advice. Support your child’s interest in drawing by providing good conditions for creativity: quality supplies, a separate table and chair in a bright place, appropriate for the child’s height.”

There are no limits to imagination in handicrafts. Part 1. Unusual drawing techniques

Everyone knows that a creative person is always in search of: ideas, inspiration, a new motive. So, a knitter comes up with new patterns and knitting techniques; the embroiderer develops new patterns; the artist is looking for new motives for work. But these are widespread types of needlework. Are there types of handicrafts that can surprise us? In search of the unusual, I studied a lot of information and decided to introduce you to very unusual needlework techniques, some of which are already present in small quantities at the Crafts Fair. Moreover, it was not enough for me to simply collect pictures from the Internet. I decided that a short description of each type of needlework would be interesting to you too.

I'll start, perhaps, with unusual drawing techniques.

1. Ebru

Have you heard such a strange word as “ebru”?

Ebru is an unconventional graphic technique of drawing on water. And then from this drawing they make an impression on paper or fabric in one step. This type of art is quite ancient and has eastern roots. The technique of this drawing is quite simple. An aqueous solution is prepared by thickening the water with specially dried resin from the Astralagus plant. And then paint is applied to the thick solution and streaks are made with a stick, creating unusual patterns. Other tools are also used to mix paints, such as those that resemble hair combs or rakes. Artists, performing complex manipulations, using different tools in a certain sequence, create fascinating patterns.

A type of ebru is a Japanese art called sumingashi. Here you can do without a thickener. Special Japanese ink is applied to the water with a brush, and it does not sink to the bottom. And if you pour ink on water, then first dissolve in it several special tablets that come with the ink. They will create an invisible film, thanks to which colored spots will remain on the surface of the water.

The simplest pattern with which you can begin to get acquainted with the ebru technique are concentric circles of different colors, which you can “play” with, curling them into spirals or waves using a brush or “comb”. Then the pattern you like can be “removed” from the surface of the water onto paper or canvas. To do this, you need to carefully place the sheet on the surface of the aqueous solution so that the design is completely imprinted, and then remove it and let it dry. Calligraphy paper is well suited for working with Japanese ink.

Modern artists widely use various types of this technique of painting on water in their practice. The most common: 1. Akkase Ebru - when several layers of paint are applied alternately to the same sheet of paper as it dries. 2. Waves or Gel-Git - paint is sprayed onto the prepared water surface, after which lines parallel to each other are drawn along it with an awl or a pointed bamboo stick. 3. Battal ebru is the most traditional and simple technique in which the artist only needs to splash paint on the surface of the water and then, without making any changes, transfer the design onto paper or fabric. 4. Ebru khatib technique - it served as a transition from abstract drawings obtained in battal to images of flowers. In addition, thanks to khatib ebru, drawing on water gained the opportunity to create ornaments. 5. Images of flowers, better known as Nejmeddin ebru, named after its inventor. This technique is based on working with an awl on concentric circles of varying sizes.

2. Encaustic

Not everyone knows that you can draw not only with paints and pencils. Some, for example, draw with an iron. To create a picture you need thick cardboard, wax crayons and an old-style iron, without a steamer. Step by step, layers of crayons are applied to a hot iron and transferred to cardboard, leaving mesmerizing colors.

Encaustic painting is the ancient art of painting with hot wax. Many early Christian icons were painted using this interesting technique, as well as Fayum funerary portraits, which are small portraits made on wooden boards and covered with glue paint. The essence of the technique, developed in Ancient Greece in the 5th century BC, was that preheated paints (their composition included wax, resins, oil and coloring pigment) were applied to a heated base with a brush and a specially heated tool, and then the picture was melted using a fryer.

It is interesting that for encaustic painting the ability to draw is not so important, but a sense of proportion and color, imagination and mood are more important.

3. Painting with cotton wool

Have you ever tried painting with cotton wool?

Drawing with cotton wool. Unfortunately, there is no exact information about who first came up with the idea of using cotton wool as a painting material. It is only known that initially they began to paint with poplar fluff, but since fluff is a seasonal phenomenon, and its preparation and proper storage is quite a troublesome task, the masters adapted ordinary cotton wool for this creativity, which is very similar in its properties to poplar fluff. Velvet paper is used as a canvas when drawing with cotton wool. Its rough structure allows you to securely attach pieces of cotton wool to the surface without worrying about them rolling off the paper during operation. Most often, black paper is used - this makes the drawings look clearer and more contrasting. But you can also use colored velvet paper as a background. You can also paint it in different colors and cotton wool to add brightness and color to the work.

In order to make a drawing, select a suitable picture and transfer the contours onto velvet paper using carbon paper. Unused pieces of paper must be covered to prevent cotton wool from accidentally getting onto the surface. And then gradually and very carefully small pieces of cotton wool are applied to the drawing. This very delicate jewelry work is done using thin tweezers, avoiding excess fibers. Having made sure that the piece of cotton wool falls exactly in the place allotted to it, the artist carefully smoothes it on the surface of the paper with his fingers, trying to secure it well. The whole picture is gradually filled in, every small detail is worked out. If an artist wants to depict a portrait or any animal, work should begin by drawing the eyes. After all the work is completed and the painting is completely ready, the protective pieces from the velvet paper can be removed. It is best to place the finished painting in a pre-prepared frame with glass. This way the design will last much longer, and dust particles will not settle on the surface and give the image an untidy appearance.

Creating drawings using cotton wool is a very exciting activity that can be enjoyed not only by adults, but also by children.

4. Sumi-e

Another unusual drawing technique is sumi-e.

Sumi-e means "ink painting". Sumi-e is the art of improvisation, an art form characterized by the highest degree of freedom. This painting is based on the principles of philosophical worldview. The nature of ink painting is characterized by mobility, fluidity, and rhythm. The art of sumi-e originated in China about 6,000 years ago. It was calligraphy that gave development to this direction of painting. Do not think that this is an exclusively monochrome image in shades of gray. Pictures are drawn with ink, the expressive possibilities of which are very diverse and fascinating. Mascara can be “old” and “new”; "wet" and "dry"; “thin” and “thick”; “shiny” and “dull”... Various pigment additives give the mascara certain shades. Unlike China, where ink painting up to the present day developed in the same vein of laws and traditions, in Japan masters of various schools and movements turned to it, who significantly expanded the artistic range and arsenal of expressive means. In this way, the decorative possibilities of ink stains and lines were effectively used (freedom and breadth of strokes, compositional use of empty space). Moreover, a new ink technique was created - tarasikomi, which consists in applying another layer on top of the wet ink, thereby creating a decoratively expressive “iridescent” pictorial texture.

5. Mistake

Another unusual type of oriental art is a very interesting way of creating paintings using dried flowers, leaves, grass and other plants.

Oshibana - this truly unique art originated in Japan more than 600 years ago and for a long time was considered an exclusively male activity. Samurai who learned the path of the warrior mastered oshibana, which required concentration. They had to master this art on this path no worse than the ability to wield a sword and write hieroglyphs correctly. While creating a painting from dried flowers, the master was in a state of “total presence,” and subsequently this painting served as a guide, being the key for everyone who wanted to experience this state. Later, already in the 19th century, this art became fashionable in European countries. And it was mainly women who began to engage in it.

Oshibana is a magical Japanese art, a special type of floristry. For creativity, various natural materials are used, which are pre-dried under a special press. Paper or fabric is used as the basis for creating paintings. To make the images complete and colorful, the paintings are complemented with watercolors. This type of “drawing” is a very jewelry work.

When creating a picture, the author uses natural plant materials. Oshibana does not require significant material costs. To start practicing this art, you need to go to a forest or a park, where nature will generously share with you a golden straw, a dried flower, a blade of grass, a leaf, poplar fluff, tree bark, moss, dried lemon peel, bronze onion peel and pearlescent garlic peel, corn cob leaves. For the oshibana artist, all this is “paints” and “brushes”. Having collected such rich material, you can continue your creative search and express yourself however you like.

In order for plants to acquire a second life, and their bright colors to be as good as living flowers, you should know how to properly collect and dry plants. The material is collected in dry weather and drying begins immediately. Drying in the usual way involves placing the material between the pages of books and pressing it with a weight, but it will be better if you purchase a special flower press. After a day, you should check the material for dryness; the petals should not break, stretch, curl, and then transfer the material to storage in boxes or modules. This must be done carefully, trying to preserve the color, shape and texture. Such pictures are very capricious. The Japanese have developed a special technique to protect them from damage. They pump out the air, creating a vacuum, after which the work stops fading and darkening.

When the material is ready, you can begin to create a picture by gluing it onto the base. This is a rather unconventional hobby, but very exciting and educational. Here you need to know about the properties of plants and fantasize as much as you like, showing your exquisite taste. Florists make ornaments, landscapes, still lifes, subject paintings and even portraits.

6. Airbrush

Not long ago a new direction in drawing appeared. It quickly gained its fans and is very popular among many people. We are talking about airbrushing.

Airbrushing is a genre that is mainly applied: airbrush designs are applied to cars and other objects using a special device - an airbrush.

One of the areas of airbrushing is graffiti - painting with cans of paint on a vertical surface. And recently, an amazing technique called spray paint art has become widespread - spray paintings that are applied to cardboard, wood or special thick paper.

Spray paint is a purely artistic genre. The theme of spray paintings is peculiar: these are, as a rule, fantastic or even surreal landscapes - space, alien, and the like.

The process of creating masterpieces in the spray paint genre is a fascinating “street” show that attracts dozens of spectators. The process of spray painting is fast and mysterious, leaving viewers puzzled and intrigued by the unexpected techniques and materials the artist uses. The action is mesmerizing: from the seemingly chaotic mixture of sprayed paints, from the stains created by paper pressed against the drawing, something whole and beautiful emerges.

Drawings are created not only with spray, but also with folded or curled paper (for example, sheets from old magazines), the bottoms of spray paint cans, scrapers and other improvised items. In addition, protective equipment is strictly recommended for painting with spray cans: respirator, gloves; some artists create spray paintings in a special transparent box that protects both the artist and the audience from toxic fumes.

The art of spray painting originated in Europe and has now come to Russia. Artists working in the spray paint genre can be seen, for example, in Moscow on Arbat. Typically, spray paintings created in a few minutes in front of spectators are immediately sold to everyone.

This concludes my review of unusual drawing techniques. Surely there is something else interesting, rare, unusual. And over time, creative dreamers come up with something else that will surprise and delight.

Let's start creating: fingers or palms

Non-traditional drawing techniques involve depicting images using various materials, including “non-artistic” ones: crumpled paper, foam rubber, threads, paraffin candle or wax crayons, dried leaves; drawing without using a tool - with your palms or fingers and much more. Such methods are successfully used both in kindergarten and at home.

For different ages, you can offer your own technique, for example, the little ones will find it interesting to paint with their fingers, because it is still difficult for a baby to hold a brush, but the baby already has excellent control of his own hands. Dip your little one's palm into the paint and ask her to leave a mark on the paper, just as cats and dogs leave marks. Look at the print with your baby, who does it look like? It looks like an elephant or a turtle, and if we add an eye, there will be a fish! The whole action is guided only by your baby’s imagination, and if suddenly he is confused, then help him, conduct a master class - paint your palm and leave a print. “Look, the mother turned out to be an elephant, but where is the baby elephant?” - the child will be happy to join in such a funny game.

You can dip your entire palm in the paint, but only your fingers, and leave tiny prints. The more multi-colored prints, the more interesting the drawing - let the child fantasize for his own pleasure. Adults should be prepared for the fact that the paint will be not only on the piece of paper, but also on the baby, or rather, the baby will be covered in it and the surrounding objects too. Therefore, take care of cleanliness in advance: cover the table where you plan to set up a creative workshop with oilcloth, and put on an apron and sleeves on your baby, otherwise, what kind of flight of fancy can we talk about if you constantly tell your baby: “Be careful, you’ll get dirty!”

Pencil drawings for beginners

How to teach a child to draw? General recommendations

Prepare your workspace and drawing tools so that it is comfortable for both you and your child, and everything you need is at hand.

You will need:

  • Oilcloth - to protect furniture from paint;
  • An apron for yourself and your child, so as not to spoil things.
  • Album with thick paper. It is easier to draw in it and the drawing will not be imprinted on a blank sheet of paper;
  • Markers;
  • Wax crayons;
  • Colored and plain pencils. For children under 5 years of age, choose triangular ones; they are more convenient to hold in a small hand. For older people, regular pencils are suitable;
  • Paints: gouache, watercolor or finger paints.

To teach your child to draw, prepare him for the lessons. You cannot force a child to draw. This way you run the risk of developing a lifelong hatred of fine art.

Alena Nesanelis advises raising the value of classes and making them rewards for good behavior and help. For example, ask your child to put away the toys, and for this you will draw with him.

To teach drawing to young children, you must first captivate them. Come up with games, use stencils and available materials so that the process captures the child’s attention completely. Believe me, the game will captivate the baby more than cartoons.

Gaming techniques:

  • Posing

Draw a sketch of a person in different poses and ask them to repeat them, and then come up with your own pose and depict it on paper.

  • Fairy tale

Invite your child to illustrate their favorite fairy tale or come up with your own. Talk through the episode and draw it together. Let the little one show his imagination. Don't correct it or impose your vision of the plot.

  • Cartoons

Draw figures in motion on different pages of your notebook. When viewed quickly, they will move and you will get a cartoon.

  • Applications

Draw objects and glue them onto whatman paper. You can make part of the applique from dried flowers, leaves and magazine clippings.

Cut out large parts from colored paper and glue them onto a landscape sheet, ask your child to complete the drawing of hands, eyes and mouth.

  • squiggle

Draw a squiggle on a blank sheet of paper. Ask your child what it is associated with and ask him to complete the drawing.

  • Letter

The technique is suitable for children who know the alphabet. Ask to write the first letter of the name, and next to it depict how the child characterizes himself.

  • Fears

The method helps to get rid of childhood fears through drawing. Ask your child to draw his fear. Invite him to tear it so that he is defeated.

Second option: add funny details so that it becomes not scary, but funny.

Yulia Lomakova said that often children do not want to draw because they cannot draw beautifully. Solving the problem is simple - show your child new techniques!

See how easy it is to teach your child to draw animals:

Have you tried all the methods, but still haven’t managed to teach your child to draw? Does your child show no interest in drawing and is capricious? Don't force him to draw. Perhaps he prefers to sing or dance. Allow your child to express himself through his favorite activity.

Let's continue to fantasize. Stamps, impressions

Children of all ages like to use stamps when drawing. This unique technique of non-traditional drawing in kindergarten is so easy to perform and diverse in manifestation that it is perfect for work both in kindergarten and at home. Ready-made stamps can be purchased at an art supply store. But it’s much more interesting to make a stamp yourself, or even better with your baby.

Almost anything that can be dipped in paint and then left an imprint on a piece of paper will work as a stamp. You can cut an apple or a potato - this is the simplest stamp. You can cut out some kind of shape on half a potato: a heart or a flower. Another stamp is made from ordinary threads, wound around any base. You don’t have to wind the threads, but simply immerse them in paint. After thorough impregnation, they are laid out on one sheet, covered with another, pressed lightly, and the intricate pattern is admired.

It is easy to make a stamp from ordinary plasticine. Come up with an interesting shape and decorate a small piece of plasticine. It is better to choose thick paint for classic stamps. You can give the background an unusual texture by using a crumpled napkin or paper, and then follow the proven scheme: dip it in paint and stamp it. Very beautiful stamps are made from dried leaves: paint the leaf on one side, place it on paper and press. After the painted leaf was removed, the picture “Golden Autumn” was created – the baby was absolutely delighted.

Drawing objects step by step

It will be easier for your child to learn if you ask him to depict individual elements step by step.

Geometric figures

First, they start with geometric shapes, from which you have probably already made colored applications. If the child manages to draw the lines more or less evenly, you need to show how to make an oval or circle, and then turn it into a picture. After this, you should invite the child to get the drawing himself, for example, turn it into a face.

At an older age, they begin to study three-dimensional figures - cubes, parallelepipeds.

Tree

If your child has mastered simple techniques, you can start a tree drawing lesson. It is formed from circles and straight lines, and a crown is also depicted. Gradually they learn to draw individual leaves.

All this is done in several stages:

  1. Creating a basic frame.
  2. Shaping.
  3. Coloring inside the outline.

The child independently draws the branches, leaves, and trunk. You can tell what grows on the ground, depict bushes, and clouds and the sun above the tree.

Flower

The flower is drawn in the following way:

  1. Start with a small circle.
  2. Leaves of a characteristic shape are made around the core.
  3. Represent stems.
  4. Paint each element in the appropriate color.

To get an interesting design, you can use a fork, dip it in paint and apply it to a sheet of paper to make petals.

It will be even easier if adults draw the stems and let the child work on the petals. By the way, in this case the brush can be replaced with cotton swabs.

Animals

We teach children to draw animals using the example of a bunny, a frequent character in fairy tales:

  1. We make an oval that will act as the body.
  2. We form a second smaller one for the head.
  3. Along the edges below we draw 2 circles for future paws.
  4. Below them are 2 more for the feet.
  5. Next we move on to the ears and tail.

At the end, all that remains is to add eyes, a nose and color the hare.

House

You should start with a square, it will be the basis. A triangle is suitable for the roof. Inside the large one there is a small one, which will become a window, as well as a rectangle in the form of a door.

When your child can draw such a house, it’s time to pay more attention to details: add a frame to the window, a pipe to the roof, and a handle to the door. You should also familiarize yourself with the features of drawing the horizon line. The upper part depicts the sky, sun and clouds.

The lower part is the ground. It is painted green, flowers and trees are drawn. The child decorates the house itself at his own discretion.

Vegetables and fruits

Learning to draw vegetables and fruits begins at the age of 5-7 years. The easiest way to depict a watermelon is:

  1. Draw an even circle.
  2. Place a dot on top and draw a spiral that will be the tail.
  3. Draw lines from the base to the bottom of the circle.
  4. Color the watermelon itself green, and make the lines dark green.

At every stage it is possible and even necessary to help a young artist - of course, if he himself does not mind. To make it even more interesting, suggest solving riddles about watermelon.

Human

A person is depicted according to a certain scheme:

  1. Make an oval that will be the head.
  2. Below it is a rectangle for the upper body.
  3. These two elements are connected by smooth lines, adding a neck.
  4. A second one is attached to the rectangle. It should be more elongated.
  5. In the middle of the bottom, draw a line down to create the semblance of legs.
  6. Along the first one draw two more thin ones, which will be hands.
  7. In the upper part a smooth line of shoulders is depicted.
  8. After this, clothes and shoes, hands are drawn. Excess elements are removed with an eraser.
  9. Finally, facial features are formed.

The creative process should take place in a fun environment; it is important that the activities are not a burden to the child.
