Application
Among children's crafts on the topic of safety during a fire, it is worth noting the making of an applique. This type of creativity will be interesting for both preschoolers and students in grades 1-2.
The applique using children's hands looks quite funny. To do this, take a sheet of paper and leave on it an imprint of a child’s palm, previously placed in a container with red paint.
You need to glue a cap to each printed finger and draw a face, thus creating 5 funny firefighters.
At an older age, you can perform a composition type application. Here you can create a fire truck and a burning house with smoke visible from it. To depict these elements, you can use colored paper or dry autumn foliage.
Fire truck made from matchboxes
Among the most common crafts on the theme of fire safety is a fire engine made from matchboxes. To make such a craft, you must perform the following manipulations:
- The base of the machine is created from 4 boxes, which are laid in two rows.
- The fifth box is placed on top in the center, creating an imitation of the cabin.
- All parts are glued together to form a rigid frame.
- The workpiece is carefully covered with red paper on all sides.
- White paper is used to create windows, and yellow circles are glued in place of the headlights.
- The fire escape is formed from 2 parallel wooden skewers and transversely placed matches. Plasticine is used to secure the ladder.
- Wheels can be taken from old broken toy cars or cut out of cardboard.
This version of the craft is quite suitable for presentation, both in a preschool and at school.
Application on the theme “Fire Safety”
One of the frequently asked topics for handicrafts in school and kindergarten is the creation of crafts on the theme “fire safety”. Most often, children are left with a lot of room for creativity, offering to make any craft within a given theme. For parents whose duty it is to help complete their child’s next masterpiece, this task becomes difficult. But it is complicated only at first glance. Since the topic is very broad, there can be many options for implementation. In this article we will talk about how to make a fire-themed applique.
Fire safety application
There are two main directions for the plots of applications on the theme of fire. These may be warning images indicating what not to do or, on the contrary, pictures indicating what needs to be done if a fire starts.
Applications can be made from different materials: from the usual paper to cereals painted in different colors, or matchboxes from which three-dimensional paintings with a thoughtful plot are created.
Application on a fire theme
In this master class, we will take warning signs as a theme, and we will make the appliqué from paper.
So, for the application we will need:
- thin colored paper, you can use corrugated paper;
- two sheets of A4 format;
- a simple pencil;
- ballpoint pen refill;
- double sided tape.
- We place two sheets of A4 format end to end and with a pencil draw on them the outline of the sign “Matches are not a toy for children!” After this, we stick double-sided tape in strips across the sheets. This is the basis of the future application.
- Cut colored paper into small squares. We place the shaft of the pen in the center of one square and with the fingers of the second hand we squeeze the entire square along the shaft. Glue the resulting “bouquet” of paper with the bottom part to the tape in the required part of the drawing.
- Having made the applique of the sign, we glue the paper for the background. The application is ready!
Application "Fire"
We propose to make another option for an interesting applique from a less familiar material – sequins and beads. Girls will love this version of fire-themed crafts. On the application we will depict the process of extinguishing a fire. For the application we will need:
- sequins of different colors;
- red beads;
- paper;
- simple pencil;
- colour pencils;
- glue;
- brush.
- On a sheet of paper we draw the outlines of all the details of the future application: a burning forest, a helicopter with jets of water and a pilot sitting in it. Glue sequins of the corresponding colors along the contours.
- We use sequins to complete the entire applique, except for the contours of the flame. We make them by gluing red beads onto paper. We color the pilot in the helicopter with colored pencils. Our application is ready!
Paper fireman's water hose
If you need to provide the kindergarten with a craft related to fire activities, you can focus on making a fireman’s water hose.
To create this craft you will need the following materials:
- Empty toilet paper roll;
- Blue colored paper;
- Scissors;
- PVA glue;
- Black handle.
Having prepared the specified materials, you can immediately begin making the craft. Strips are cut out of blue paper; they will act as water. The strips are glued to one end of a roll of toilet paper.
To indicate that this is a water hose, you can leave an inscription with the name on it.
Summary of an open lesson on application in the senior group “Be careful pedestrian, here is a road crossing”
Goal: to develop a consciously correct attitude towards compliance with traffic rules as a pedestrian.
Tasks:
1. Reinforce the rules of the road, teach how to apply knowledge previously acquired in practical activities.
2. Activate children’s thinking through:
— developing the ability to define tasks based on the problem posed,
- developing in children the ability to create a conceived product,
— improving the level of accumulated practical skills (creating a street layout, adding details to it).
3. Activate children’s speech through developing the ability to organize their actions.
4. Develop independence and the ability to interact with peers.
5. Strengthen the ability to correctly compose images from details.
6. Practice gluing parts carefully.
7. Cultivate in children an interest in the environment and applications.
8. Develop imagination and sense of composition.
Preliminary work with children: looking at illustrations of cars, guessing riddles “types of transport,” discussing problem situations “dangers on the road.”
With parents: invite parents to discuss and follow traffic rules for pedestrians while walking with their children.
Materials: magnetic board, pictures depicting transport, tinted landscape sheets F A4, blanks of colored paper with an outline of: cars, wheels, traffic lights, zebras; scissors, glue, napkins.
Types of children's activities in GCD:
Communicative.
Productive.

Motor.
Cognitive.
Integration of educational areas: “Cognition”, “Socialization”, “Communication”, “Artistic creativity”, “Physical education”.
Part 1 – Introductory
- Guys, today we have guests, let’s say hello to them and smile at them, and now let’s smile at each other.
“Come to me, look at the board,” please tell me what is shown in the pictures? (children's answers)
-I know that you love to play, and now I want to play a game with you. The game “Raise your hand, those who...” is played.
Raise your hand, those who like to play with cars?
Raise your hand, those who come to kindergarten on foot?
Raise your hand, those who come to kindergarten by bus?
Raise your hand, those who are brought to kindergarten by car?
Raise your hand, those whom your mother brought today?
Raise your hand, those whom dad brought today?
Raise your hand, those who come to kindergarten alone, without adults?
-Now you are all in a group, which means that you all come to kindergarten together with adults, with mom or dad, with grandparents. Why do you think? (children's answers). That's right, you and I know that the street is a place where you have to be very careful so that nothing bad happens.
Using salt dough
If the task is to prepare a craft for school on the topic of fire safety, then the ideal solution would be to use a material such as salt dough. You can make any figure from the dough, but the dough will need to be prepared first.
To prepare the dough you will need the following products:
- 220 g salt;
- 220 g flour;
- 130 ml. sunflower oil;
- 1-2 tbsp. water;
- Colored gouache.
Next, mix flour and salt in a separate bowl. Add the remaining products to the resulting mass and knead the dough until a uniform color is formed.
Any figures are molded from the dough - a fireman, a car, a fire extinguisher. Then all the figures are thoroughly dried.
There are several options for drying products. If this is not in a hurry, then you can simply leave the crafts in the room, but away from the hot radiator, since otherwise the figures will crack.
If the products are already needed for tomorrow, then they should be placed in a cold oven and then dried at a low temperature.
Plasticine crafts
Among the DIY crafts on the topic of fire safety, there are quite a few options made from plasticine.
This material allows you to create both three-dimensional figures and applications on cardboard. Using plasticine of different colors, you can easily make a fire truck, ladder and firefighters.
Using this material, children will not only be able to learn the features of fire safety, but will also gain minimal handicraft skills. If you have talent in fine arts, you can create a real picture of ashes by telling your child in detail about the negative consequences of playing with fire.
Fire related crafts
Fire engine
It is quite interesting to create such crafts using paints, but without using writing utensils. Instead, you will have to get your feet and palms dirty.
It is enough to step into red paint diluted with water and leave a mark on the paper.
Using your fingers, you can complete the body of a fire truck and depict fire hoses.
A pair of wheels is created with the thumb.
In general, everything is ready. A fire truck rushing to a call. But the main thing is not to forget about the treasured numbers 01 and 112. In the Russian Federation, these are numbers for calling rescue services. Please note that the child must know this number in case there is a need to use it. You can call only if there is a danger; all other calls can be considered false and incur punishment for the child’s parents.
To understand that this is a fire truck, blue and red flashing lights are required.
Fire in the forest
Collect branches from the street and come up with an installation on the theme of fire safety in the forest.
You can make animals out of paper, and if you use knitting needles and knit several animals, it will turn out even better.
In each drawing, red is used for the inscription - Protect the forest from fire!
This makes it clear that fire only harms the forest. Trees do not need heat from fire; because of it, all plants and animals lose their home and cannot raise their children.
Because now it’s the 21st century. That image of the numbers 01 on crafts is useless. This number can only be dialed from home phones. Which have long been abandoned and are almost never used.
Therefore, if you and your child use a smartphone, it is better to write the numbers 101, 102, 103 and 112. These are the most important numbers in every person’s life.
Volumetric crafts
Studying photos of crafts on the topic of fire safety, you can also note voluminous projects. But making them requires certain creative skills.
There are several options for creating volumetric crafts:
- Volumetric figure. As an example, we can use a fire, which is one of the most common causes of fires. Logs are laid out on a cardboard sheet, which is a cylinder made of thick paper. In the middle there is a flame, which is pre-cut out of red, yellow and orange paper.
- A three-dimensional painting in the form of a double-leaf postcard made of thick paper. On the inside of one of the halves, various figures are glued to the pre-bent edge: a fire, trees, firefighters, which are pressed using the second flap. On the second half, an applique or drawing is formed.
For older children, more complex craft options are available. For example, you can create a “fire fighting” composition using various elements, construction sets, plasticine, matches.
This composition option is suitable even for regional or city creative competitions.
Each of the presented craft options will allow the child to better immerse himself in the topic of fire safety. If you explain to your child from childhood, even in a playful way, how dangerous it is to play with fire, then in the future you will be able to avoid a lot of troubles.
Crafts for kindergarten
Every year in kindergarten there is a competition for making crafts on the topic of safe behavior in various dangerous or unfavorable conditions.
If a child does not want to do anything creative and learn the rules, then let him know that if he can create something truly unusual and beautiful, he will receive a gift.
And also his work will be kept on a public stand and both children and adults will clearly appreciate and admire his talent. Such words will light up the eyes of any person, and he will undoubtedly take up this matter.
