Social significance of the project Due to the fact that few children know the history of family and their pedigree. Family holidays and traditions are becoming a thing of the past. In order to study the family , establish contact with its members, and coordinate educational influences on the child, the idea came up to create the project “My Family ”
which helps children understand the importance
of family , instill in children love and respect for its members, and instill a sense of attachment to family and home .

Traditions of reverent attitude towards the behests of ancestors, towards their memory, towards the continuity of generations began to take shape in ancient times and were developed over millennia.
The term “genealogy” was used in Russia from the 11th century until the beginning of the 20th century; modern historical science operates on its Greek prototype “genealogy”. In pedagogy, the term “pedigree” is most often used. Therefore we will also use this term.
In folk culture and folklore, the connection between generations is symbolized by the tree of life. Its roots are our distant ancestors; its trunk is the older generations; branches, flowers, fruits - children, grandchildren. The roots of the tree of life are in heaven and the branches are on earth. This description of the image of the tree of life was compiled by A.N. Afanasyev.
The tree of life grows if the younger generation remembers and honors their ancestors, respects their elders, and the elders treat their children with care and kindness.
The state was involved in maintaining genealogical books back in the 15th century, which made it possible to track whether all princes, boyars and nobles served the tsar or evaded public service. Pedigree books also contain drawings - diagrams, which later became known as pedigree tables.

In genealogy, there is a special terminology, certain rules according to which a pedigree is compiled.
A clan is persons related by a common origin, descending through the male line from one common ancestor - the ancestor, united by common blood, i.e. who are related by blood. The clan consists of generations: the ancestor, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Members of the clan include both male and female descendants. Today we can talk about some similarities between the concepts of “clan” and “surname”.
Pedigree –
this is the history of a family, which is usually described as a list of generations of people of one or more clans, establishing the origin and degree of relationship, indicating about each representative of the clan what distinguishes it.
There are two main ways to conduct it - ascending and descending.
When compiling an ascending pedigree, the main object of research is the person about whose ancestors information is being collected. An ascending direct line of kinship goes from a given person to his ancestors. To draw up a line of ascending kinship, a circular table is widely used.
The descending pedigree begins with the most distant known ancestor and gradually passes to his descendants. The table of descending kinship resembles a pyramid, the top of which is the ancestor, and the base is the last generation of his descendants.
A variant of the table of descending kinship is the pedigree, or family tree.
Family tree –
it is an inverted chart of descending ancestry, most often male. It really resembles a branched tree. The name of the ancestor is located on the tree trunk or in its roots, the names of the descendants are on the branches and stylized branches and twigs.

The families are different, but in many ways they are similar. A family unites relatives who are very close to each other. They love and respect each other, take care of each other, share all their joys and sorrows together.
You can tell about your relatives, about your family in words, make a diagram. Or you can create a beautiful image of a family - a tree, a flower, a house, a ship. Think about what look suits your family.
