Open day in kindergarten as a form of work with parents

Open Day is one of the forms of working with parents, which provides them with the opportunity to get acquainted with the preschool educational institution, its traditions, rules, establish trusting relationships with other parents and teachers, determine the tasks of joint education of children and ways to implement them.

In order to expand the interaction between teachers and parents to establish partnerships and attract parents to active participation in the pedagogical process, an Open Day was held in the Pochemuchka kindergarten.

The organization and conduct of this event was based on the principles of goodwill, mutual respect, mutual enrichment, and methodological orientation.

In preparation for the Open Day, the purpose, subject, and objects of the event were determined: teachers drew up a work plan for this day and presented their developments to the methodological office.

Based on the developed plans, a general consolidated plan of activities for the kindergarten was drawn up, including direct educational activities, entertainment, conversations, games, and theatrical activities.

The groups set up stands for parents, which presented information in accordance with the theme of the Open Day “Organization of pedagogical diagnostics in a playful way”, “Main directions of the Federal State Educational Standard”, “Age characteristics of children”. This information was aimed at enriching the knowledge and ideas of parents about the work of educators, narrow specialists in organizing pedagogical diagnostics, and the role of parents in the child’s play activities. Also, detailed plans for the Open Day were presented at the information stands for parents, according to which parents could plan in advance for themselves to attend various scheduled moments.

On the Open Day, parents were able to attend not only the events planned by the teachers, but also observe various routine moments and participate in the organization of morning exercises, free activities for children, walks on the street, feeding children in a group and play activities.

In the middle groups, parents attended the entertainment of the musical directors “Visiting the Matryoshka”.

In the older groups, during direct educational activities in physical education, parents saw how much their children love sports and with what passion they perform any exercise.

In the afternoon, parents saw the work of the “Magic Plasticine”, “Isothread”, “Magic Yarn” clubs. Children created wonderful crafts using plasticine and colored yarn, and adults had the opportunity to practice modeling.

Parents were satisfied with the impressions they received, were satisfied with the quality of the activities they viewed, and the organization of routine moments provided by the teachers; We saw that the institution had created a comfortable psychological and competent pedagogical environment for the successful development of the child.

A total of 66 parents attended the event.

«Healthy eating is the basis of education!» — 2016

Over the past few years, it has become a good tradition in our kindergarten to hold an Open Day for parents. An open day is one of the forms of working with parents, which provides them with the opportunity to get acquainted with a preschool educational institution, its traditions, rules, and tasks of educational work. The purpose of this event is to establish a trusting relationship between parents and teachers, which determines the tasks of joint education of children and their implementation.

An open day for parents (persons in their stead) on the topic “Healthy eating is the basis of education!”, allowed parents to obtain information about the organization of the regime and nutrition of children and their diet. The team of teachers sought to show parents that the institution has created a safe, pedagogically competent and psychologically comfortable environment for proper nutrition, development of the child and strengthening of his health. Information about the Open Day was communicated to parents in advance by posting announcements on the kindergarten website and in groups. Then the teachers of our preschool institution drew up a program for the event and assigned responsibilities for its organization. For the tasting, we have compiled a menu of dishes that are offered to children in our kindergarten. As information support, our kindergarten team produced leaflets, brochures, and posted information on the kindergarten website. We created a film about the nutrition of children in kindergarten and a presentation about children's dishes from photographs presented by teachers of all groups.

In the hall where the event took place, we created an appropriate interior: we decorated the tables, issued information sheets and signs.

The day's program was varied. Using one day as an example, we introduced parents to the catering system in our preschool and gave them the opportunity to evaluate the dishes prepared by our chefs. At the event “Healthy eating is the basis of education!” The issue of healthy eating was raised and many positive examples were given. The head nurse spoke about the importance of the 10-day menu for children. The chef announced the menu presented for tasting. Then the parents (persons replacing them) could try the dishes presented in four categories: “Dishes for breakfast and dinner”, “Dishes for lunch”, “Baked goods”, “Drinks”.

The staff of the preschool educational institution not only offered to try the dishes, but also talked in detail about the composition and method of preparation, and asked the parents’ opinion about each dish they tried. All the reviews were positive, parents took recipes to prepare their favorite dish at home. Throughout the event, all visitors had the opportunity to ask questions related to children’s nutrition to the manager, head nurse, and chef. Parents were satisfied with the information received and reflected their impressions of the event in the Guest Book. Holding an Open Day allows our preschool educational institution to become more open to parents and the public.
