Progress of the meeting.
Today at the meeting we will talk about the safe behavior of children on the roads. The need for a meeting on traffic rules is dictated by life itself.
The terrible statistics of child mortality and health damage as a result of road accidents are simply terrifying.
Pay attention to the statistics for the Kirov region.
Over the past 5 years (from 2014 to 2021), 827 traffic accidents involving children and adolescents under the age of 16 occurred on the roads of the Kirov region, in which 27 children died and 857 were injured.
At the end of 3 months of 2021, the number of accidents due to the negligence or negligence of children themselves increased by
28% .
In
23.8% of cases (5 out of 21), there were no reflective elements on the clothing of injured child pedestrians.
The largest number of injured child passengers were in the age category
under 6 years.
In
two cases (10%) the children were not wearing seat belts and were transported without child restraints.
You should be more responsible when driving when transporting children or driving in places where there may be children.
Remember that children's injuries on the roads primarily depend on adults.
(Music from the movie “Beware of the Car!” plays)
Today we have a big and interesting day, we are starting our entertaining game. Dear guys and guests of our holiday! We welcome you to our hall for the entertaining game “Road rules, you need to know without delay!” And the children and adults of our group will compete. Those who wish can support their team with applause. The motto of our holiday (Slide) May the sun always shine, May we always hear laughter, In our city the roads will become the safest of all.
Now let's welcome the participants of our game.
Pay attention to the invitation cards. Whoever has a ticket with a pedestrian becomes a member of the first team, whoever has a ticket with a traffic light becomes a member of the second team, whoever has a ticket with the letter Z
, he will be a member of the jury.

Pictures with road signs are laid out on the teams’ tables. Having guessed the riddle, the teams show the correct road sign. We were walking home from the garden, We saw a sign on the pavement: Circle, a bicycle inside, There is nothing else! (“Bike path”) A man walking in black is crossed out with a red line. And the road, it seems, but- It’s forbidden to walk here. (“Pedestrian traffic is prohibited”) There are two brothers in a triangle. Everyone is rushing somewhere, rushing. The most important sign in the world is just nearby. (“Children”) In the blue circle, a pedestrian is not in a hurry, walking. The path is safe, He is not afraid here. (“Pedestrian path”) What kind of sign is that hanging? Stop - he tells the cars. A pedestrian! Walk boldly along the black and white paths. 8th competition - “Assemble a car first aid kit”
1 m from the start, in a hoop there are medical supplies for the first aid kit. The participant runs to the hoop, takes one item and runs to the open first aid kit, which lies on the table. He puts the item down and comes back. Players fill the first aid kit one medical item at a time, the last player runs to the first aid kit, closes it and returns back.
Competition 9 – “Put on a vest”
All participants must take turns wearing a reflective vest.
The game has come to an end. We tested your knowledge in theory, and in practice, too, dear parents, do not forget to do this. Today I will give you these flickers that I made from reflective tape.
On July 1, 2015, an amendment to the Law on Road Traffic Rules came into force, obliging pedestrians moving at night along roadsides outside populated areas to carry reflective elements. Failure to comply with this requirement is punishable by a fine of 500 rubles.
There can’t be too many flickers; it’s better if there are several of them in front, behind, and on the sides.
Today Yura’s mother, Galina Ilyinichna, kindly agreed to conduct a master class on making flicker
(G.I. conducts a master class)
Flicker is ready.
Flickers are in our hands,
Made now.
We became more noticeable at once,
You, driver, slow down the gas!
It will delight your child; clothes with it become brighter and more interesting. And most importantly, the flicker ensures the safety of the child’s movement in the street network.
Dear parents! Take care of your safety and the safety of your children yourself, help drivers notice you on the road in time, wear flickers: they are visible from afar in any weather
Cultivate in your child the habit of being attentive, careful and prudent on the street.
Observe situations on the street, the road in the yard, pedestrians and vehicles, traffic lights, and be sure to discuss what you see with your child. After all, the life and health of your child depends on your culture of behavior on the street, in public transport, on your respect for traffic rules!
Once again, show your child the dangerous places on the way from the garden to home.
Remember, you need to choose not the shortest, but the safest path. Walk this path several times with your son or daughter, make sure that the child has firmly grasped this path.
Please note that in the traffic rules corner, the route diagram for the safe route for pupils to move through the territory adjacent to the MKOU NOSH village of Ozhegino has been updated.
And we will end our meeting with a flash mob to the music “Observe traffic rules and be friends with the traffic police”

Application
REMINDER FOR PARENTS
According to plan or “as it turns out”?
We love our children and want only the best for them. We tell them: “Stop, there’s a road ahead!
You can't play on the roadway! Take my hand, let’s cross the street!” Any parent or grandparent will confirm that this is exactly (or almost exactly) what they do. This is a plan for teaching our children safe behavior on the road.
It’s good when such a plan is realized by us, systematically and systematically implemented in life, the results of its implementation are controlled by us: we do not forget to make a remark or even scold when a child ignores our instructions. But often we lack planning and systematicity, persistence and consistency in its implementation.
Do you always hold your child's hand when you are on the road? Most parents do. But many do not hold it themselves, but trust the child to hold on to himself: the handle of a bag, the hem of a dress, a stroller... Especially when the parent has a lot of bags or the stroller is with another child.
But “holding hands” means not only to control the child, but, if necessary, to control the situation.
The car pulled out sharply; the Gazelle, squeaking its brakes, slows down with unconvincing speed; a toy fell; an object of interest to the child appeared underfoot; A bright billboard, which you don’t even look at, has fascinated the child - this is all the reason for him to stop abruptly and let go of your hand or what he is holding on to. For various reasons: fear, interest, surprise, but the result is the same - in the event of a sudden change in the road situation, you will not have time to stop it, pull it back, push it away, throw it away, etc., because the child is unattainable for you.
Fewer parents are holding their child’s hand when they walk along the road in a residential area near their home, in an area familiar to them. This is not a sidewalk, but we, adults, are accustomed to it as a means of walking. And we often say to children: “Walk next to us.” But for some, it’s 15-30 centimeters nearby (achievable for our hand), while for others it’s 30-50 and further (not every parent has this arm length).
Teach your child to walk next to you, no further than arm's length, preferably on the sidewalk, and in a residential area where there are no sidewalks, along the edge of the road, not in the middle, in front of you, not behind you.
Few people hold a child’s hand at public transport stops while waiting for transport. But children are bored of waiting, they entertain themselves as best they can: spinning around poles next to the roadway, looking beyond the sidewalk at a car they like, etc. It is not always, especially older people who find it difficult to get out of a minibus, bus, etc., hold a child’s hand when getting out of the vehicle. But getting out of a stationary vehicle or due to an obstacle that limits the view of the roadway is one of the common causes of accidents involving children.
Borders of unfreedom
At what age should you hold your child’s hand when crossing the road? Most parents hold their 2-year-old child tightly (and, I hope, not by the palm, but by the wrist, otherwise they won’t be able to hold the child’s hand), but not everyone does so with a three-year-old child. This is due to the well-known crisis of three years, when the child becomes intractable, devaluing the adult and his rules, and many parents, as they say, do not have enough gunpowder to resist the pressure of the little person’s independence.
But it is at this age that the risk of getting into an accident increases for a child, which is associated with his increased activity, curiosity, but at the same time impulsiveness, insufficient coordination of movements and stability of gait.
Walk along a narrow sidewalk, often with potholes, large debris, and not fall, trip or jump after an interesting pebble, stick, fallen toy, etc. it doesn't always work out.
Therefore, the task of the parents of a 3-year-old child and other adults is to be firm in maintaining safe movement on and near the road.
It is important not just to insist (“I’m an adult, I know what’s right!”), but to explain to the child that you care about him, are afraid for him, and set clear boundaries of freedom (for example, “until this fence I’m holding your hand, and after it you walk on your own, there is a wide sidewalk").
In general, it is important to talk to your child as much as possible, commenting on what you are doing and why (“I look to the left because cars may appear from there,” etc.). Don't expect immediate results.
In order to look left or right without your prompting, turn around at the noise of the engine, stop and step aside to let a vehicle pass, and do other actions we are accustomed to that ensure our safety on the road, the child has a long way to go in the development of his cognitive processes that correspond to for the ability to predict and plan, the development of his personality associated with control over his momentary desires, etc.
Holding a child’s hand before this age is unlikely to work, and it is not necessary, because the most important thing in any upbringing is when the child himself does what yesterday he could only do with your help.
But the moment when you trust a child to walk next to you on the roadway should be determined not only by his age, but also by his character.
We take character into account
Fearful, anxious children will not let go of your hand for a long time. And this is correct: in a situation of a sharp change in the road situation, the sudden appearance of danger, they will most likely become confused, begin to move chaotically in space, and expose themselves and others to even greater danger than they already were. But children who are mobile, restless, and active are unlikely to give you a hand voluntarily, and they need to be controlled almost more than children of the first type. After all, because of their irrepressible energy, they more often find themselves in dangerous situations, and not only on the road or in transport. Most often these are boys, and special delicacy is needed here to protect them both from physical danger on the road and from the psychological danger of being branded as a “mama’s boy” who is held by the hand like a little one.
Emotions are stronger
There is another “upbringing plan” that we implement in spontaneous behavior, direct actions, emotional statements and assessments. This educational plan, as a rule, is not realized by us, it is little controlled by our educational attitudes, but often it turns out to be more effective.
For example.
We're in a hurry, it's a long way to the crossing. We say to the child: “Give me your hand, let’s cross here.” Or without “give me your hand” at all: “Run faster, now the red light will light up.” We’re driving in the car: “Ksyusha, bend down, we’re passing the traffic police, and you’re without a seat. Why buy it, all of Europe drives without seats.” On the phone: “Can you imagine, in Belarus all children are forced to wear reflectors, we were also forced to buy them, although we were indignant that we were not their citizens. What do they take money for!”
Are you reading this and thinking: not about me? Do you never, ever cross the street with your child in the wrong place? And you never start crossing the street when the green signal is already flashing, warning you that the color is changing to red? When driving a car, never drive on the “brink” of violating traffic rules? Especially if there is a child in the cabin who is already able to understand the situation on the road and relate it to your behavior and statements addressed to other road users? And you don’t allow yourself to emotionally evaluate the actions of traffic police inspectors in the presence of a child? If you are fined, do you explain to your child what you did wrong?
Answer honestly: did you immediately buy your child a new car seat as soon as he outgrew the first one? After all, they have a resource related to the anatomy of a growing child’s body. A child who grows out of a car seat can be seriously injured, since the load will fall on those places that the car seat protects “due to age.”
If you were honest with yourself, you would have answered “no” to at least some of the questions.
And this is the “other” plan for teaching our children how to behave on the road.
And it clearly includes what is possible and what is not allowed (I can, but others cannot), what is good and what is bad (what I do is good, but others are all bad), who is good and who is bad (I am a reckless driver myself - good, and “village, sucker” - bad).
It is this educational plan that is more strongly imprinted on our children, as it connects our emotions, to which any living creature is more receptive, because this is a more ancient method of learning, proven in the course of evolution. Psychologists have found that babies recognize their mother’s emotions starting from the age of 3 months, but it will take a very long time for them to remember our “don’ts” and learn traffic rules.
