Information and communication technologies in the educational process

Techniques for the practical use of ICT in preschool education

There are several techniques for the practical use of ICT in preschool education, they are discussed below.

Teacher's work with children using IT technologies

Use of various illustrative materials in the classroom

To better assimilate the material, the teacher can use available means of presenting information using a variety of IT technologies. This set may include the following:

  • video materials;
  • Images;
  • presentations;
  • various interactive means of presenting material.

Using presentations

There are a large number of services for creating presentations. The bottom line is that at the moment, creating a good presentation does not require a lot of time, and such presentations can be more informative than a regular lecture from a teacher. Also an important note: the presentation can contain not only an audio presentation of information, actually in the form of the teacher’s speech, but also a visual one in the form of text. The presentation has the opportunity to include all kinds of thematic images that can help in the perception of the material.

Important! Currently, services for creating presentations provide the opportunity to create entire interactive projects with the goal of a mini-game with children, which is very helpful in memorizing information. This is not just dumping out a mass of new information: this method most strongly stimulates children to remember information.

Design of thematic corners and stands in the group

The creation of educational stands or corners in preschool educational institutions using components of children's subculture also plays an important role in the effective use of educational materials. Such stands arouse children’s interest in obtaining new information and understanding the world, because kindergarten or other preschool educational institutions inherently help children get comfortable in society and discover their child’s talents.

Organization of virtual thematic excursions during classes

Presenting educational information in the form of virtual excursions can help the assimilation of various historical material. This material is usually loaded with dates and events, and not all children are interested in such material presented in dry form. Special photo and video materials help create the effect of the excursion. The most important thing is not to simply give information; you need to support it with thematic visual design.

Consultation for parents on raising children's attention and perseverance

Information technologies as a means of quickly visually and audibly familiarizing children with objects, phenomena, and concepts on the subject of classes

The fact is that even a regular presentation contains short text in the form of an image. And there are different types of perception of information, for example, a presentation with a story about the content in this very presentation gives two of the three types of perception: visual and auditory. This undoubtedly helps in understanding the subject and specifically the topic of the lesson. All this can be achieved through various scientific achievements. The same video can be considered more informative, since the teacher may miss some important nuances in his lecture, and a dry and informative video allows you to avoid this.

Interactive game

Also, video clips can use more different methods to attract the attention of children, and this is an important factor, since at the moment there is a problem of attention deficit in children. Also, when using various methods of creating videos, various functions can be applied aimed at increasing the narrated material in less time, for example, a video with some kind of experiment that can last a long time.

Important! Today, the Internet is filled with various educational content that is freely available. Typically, the authors of this content create it specifically for the purpose of teaching children.

In the conditions of modern development of society and production, it is impossible to imagine a world without information resources, no less significant than material, energy and labor. The peculiarity of informatization is that the dominant type of activity is the collection, accumulation, processing, storage, transmission and use of information. In a dynamically changing world, constant improvement and complication of technology, informatization of the education sector is acquiring fundamental importance.

The education system makes new demands on the upbringing and training of the younger generation, the introduction of new approaches that should contribute not to replacing traditional methods, but to expanding their capabilities. The role of information technology is becoming increasingly evident not only in the school system, but also in preschool education.

We all know that a computer enters a child’s life from an early age, having both positive and negative influence on the formation of his personality. In terms of the power of influence on the child’s psyche, modern information technologies are incomparable with other means.

So what is ICT and what specific work in a preschool educational institution are they needed for?

The combination of ICT is associated with two types of technologies: information and communication. “Information technology is a set of methods, methods and means that ensure the storage, processing, transmission and display of information and are aimed at increasing the efficiency and productivity of labor.” At the present stage, methods, methods and means are directly related to the computer (computer technology). Communication technologies determine the methods, means and means of human interaction with the external environment (the reverse process is also important). The computer takes its place in these communications. It provides comfortable, individual, diverse, highly intelligent interaction of communication objects. Combining information and communication technologies and projecting them onto educational practice, it should be noted that the main task facing their implementation is the adaptation of a person to life in the information society. It is absolutely clear that ICT is becoming the main tool that a person will use not only in professional activities, but also in everyday life. The main goal of introducing information technologies is to create a unified information space of an educational institution, a system in which all participants in the educational process are involved and connected at the information level: administration, teachers, students and their parents.

Today, information technologies significantly expand the capabilities of parents, teachers and specialists in the field of early education. The possibilities of using a modern computer make it possible to most fully and successfully realize the development of a child’s abilities.

Unlike conventional technical means of education, information and communication technologies make it possible not only to saturate the child with a large amount of ready-made, strictly selected, appropriately organized knowledge, but also to develop intellectual, creative abilities, and what is very important in early childhood - the ability to independently acquire new knowledge.

The ability of a computer to simultaneously reproduce information in the form of text, graphics, sound, speech, video, remember and process data at enormous speed allows specialists to create new means of activity for children that are fundamentally different from all existing games and toys. All this places qualitatively new demands on preschool education - the first link of lifelong education, one of the main tasks of which is to lay the potential for enriched development of the child’s personality. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce information technologies into the system of preschool education and training.

One of the main conditions for the introduction of information technology in a preschool educational institution is that children should be worked with by specialists who know the technical capabilities of a computer, have the skills to work with them, strictly follow sanitary standards and rules for using computers, and are proficient in the methodology of working with preschoolers using information technology. Taking this into account, the primary task at present is to improve the computer literacy of teachers, their mastery of working with educational software systems, the resources of the global computer network Internet so that in the future each of them can use modern computer technologies to prepare and conduct educational work with children in to a qualitatively new level.

A teacher must be able to combine traditional teaching methods and modern information technologies, not only be able to use a computer and modern multimedia equipment, but also create his own educational resources and widely use them in his teaching activities. Information technology is not only and not so much computers and their software. ICT means the use of a computer, the Internet, television, video, DVD, CD, multimedia, audiovisual equipment, that is, everything that can provide ample opportunities for communication.

What is the need for information technology in the preschool education system?

• Children's interest in activities increases significantly, and the level of cognitive capabilities increases.

• The use of new unusual methods of explanation and reinforcement, especially in a playful form, increases children’s involuntary attention and helps develop voluntary attention.

• Provide a person-centered approach.

• Computer capabilities allow you to increase the volume of material offered for familiarization.

• Computer programs teach independence and develop self-control skills.

• The use of computer learning tools also helps to develop composure, concentration, perseverance in preschoolers, and introduces empathy.

• Computer classes are of great importance for the development of voluntary motor skills of the fingers.

• An important point in preparing children to master writing is the formation and development of joint coordinated activity of the visual and motor analyzers, which is successfully achieved in classes using a computer.

The use of ICT in the classroom helps children: - navigate the information flows of the world around them, - master practical ways of working with information, - develop skills that allow them to exchange information using modern technical means.

The use of ICT in the classroom enhances: - positive motivation for learning - activates the cognitive activity of students.

The use of ICT in the classroom allows you to fully implement the basic principles of enhancing cognitive activity: - The principle of equality of positions - The principle of trust - The principle of feedback - The principle of taking a research position.

The implementation of these principles is visible in all classes where ICT is used. The use of ICT allows you to conduct classes: - at a high aesthetic and emotional level (animation, music) provides clarity - attracts a large amount of didactic material - increases the amount of work performed in the lesson by 1.5 - 2 times - provides a high degree of differentiation of training (an individual approach to child using multi-level tasks).

The use of ICT: - expands the possibility of independent activity; — develops research skills; — provides access to various reference systems, electronic libraries, and other information resources.

Areas of application of ICT in preschool educational institutions:

1. Selection of illustrative material for classes and for the design of stands, groups, offices (scanning, printer, Internet presentations).

2. Selection of additional educational material for children’s classes and independent activities.

3. Familiarity with the scenarios of holidays and other events.

4. Exchange of experience, acquaintance with periodicals, developments and ideas of other teachers in Russia and abroad.

5. Preparation of documentation and reports. The computer allows you not to write reports and analyzes every time, but just type the diagram once and, in the future, only make the necessary changes.

6. Creation and use of presentations in Power Point to improve the effectiveness of educational activities with children.

7. Using presentations created in Power Point to improve the pedagogical competence of parents during parent-teacher meetings.

8. The use of digital equipment and photo editing programs that make it as easy to manage pictures as taking photographs, to easily find the ones you need, edit and display them.

9. Using a video camera and related programs (a fundamentally new way to view, store and share all video material; you can quickly create simple films by adding titles, transitions between scenes, background music or voiceovers to the video).

10. Design of booklets, business cards of the institution, materials on various areas of activity.

11. Use of email.

12. Creation of a preschool educational institution website

From all of the above, we can conclude that the use of information and computer technologies in preschool educational institutions:

— helps to improve the professional level of teachers, encourages them to look for new non-traditional forms and methods of teaching, and to show creativity;

— helps to increase children’s interest in learning, activates cognitive activity, improves the quality of children’s assimilation of program material;

— helps to increase the level of pedagogical competence of parents, their awareness of the activities of the entire institution and the results of a particular child, cooperation between parents and preschool educational institutions.

Effective ways to use ICT in the educational process

ICT helps to stimulate children's interest in learning new materials. There is now a very large variety of educational materials available on the Internet. In fact, preschool educational institutions may not even create educational materials, but use existing ones. As a rule, such services comply with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard, and are created jointly with the Ministry of Education or even by order of it.

Educators can only monitor the correct use of IT technologies, as well as teach children to use computers and Internet resources.

The use of information and communication technologies in education has tangible advantages:

  • It can give children an incentive to explore the Internet, because it contains a huge amount of useful information. The main thing is to teach children to find useful information, and various educational programs should be aimed at this.
  • It will help motivate children to self-learn, because this pedagogical method is much more effective than conventional teaching, which, in a word, is already beginning to become obsolete, and society is very quickly improving it due to various scientific achievements. Stimulating such self-study can help to take the initial level of study at a university, and further admission to it may be easier.
  • Develops communication skills.
  • Experience in using information technologies proves that they help in certifying children.

Important! Professions related to information technology are currently developing, labor automation is taking place in most industries, and employers are in great need of people who are ready to use computer technology as a means to solve assigned problems.

Due to automation, a large number of frames are required for data processing. Therefore, it is important, starting from preschool educational institutions, to introduce the younger generation to computer technologies.

Creation of a modern educational environment in preschool educational institutions

Due to technological progress, various IT technologies are becoming cheaper every year, so equipping a preschool educational institution does not cost much. IT equipment will help children learn faster. In addition, information technologies can help the institution itself in organizing various events, and in organizing the course work of the institution itself as a whole.

Interactive technologies in preschool educational institutions

You can create an educational environment using various educational programs. There are a large number of government concepts aimed at connecting educational institutions to the Internet.
